| Marlene and Bill (MARBIL) LaVigne is all there is to our mom and pop business. Marlene had to discontinue her interior paint contracting business because it became too demanding physically. Bill retired from the computer profession after almost 40 years. Too many changes...too fast! In 1996 we found our vinyl crochet tablecloths and thought it would be fun setting up a booth at home shows and fairs. In the winter we could even go to Arizona and set up at flea markets. So we bought an RV and started traveling all over the nothwest selling our product. We met thousands of very nice people some of whom became good friends. But, as with most things in this life, it came to an end when we realized that our parents needed our help. Bill even brought his folks back to Washington from Connecticut. |
As you already know, the internet started to explode in the latter part of 1998. It provided us with an opportunity to offer our tablecloths to people everywhere. You can tell, can't you, that we think a great deal of this product. It's so practical! Anyway, with Bill's background in computers it wasn't too dificult to set up a web page and in September 1999 we opened up on the internet.
On January 25, 2002 Marlene shed her garment of mortality and left us to spend eternity with God.
Before you go give us an opportunity to gloat a little bit....our grandchildren
Thanx for stopping by!
